Useful Information
- PE is every Monday afternoon. Children are to come to school wearing a PE kit
- Maths and spelling homework will be sent home on a Friday and should be returned to school no later than Thursday the following week.
- Home reading
Children reading Read Write inc. books are to return books on Wednesdays. New books will be sent home on Fridays. Please give your child the opportunity to read their Read Write Inc. book at least three times over the course of the week to develop fluency and expression. Asking them to read it to different family members and other adults will give them good reason to read it more than once.For children reading other scheme books, these books are changed Monday - Wednesday. No specific day has been allocated for groups of children to read; however, each child should bring their reading book in to school once a week on one of these days, whether they have finished reading it or not, so that books can either be changed or progress can be monitored. Please read with your child for at least 10 minutes each day, and discuss with them what has been read. Regular practise really does ensure reading progress
