Factor Fascination

This half term, in maths, we have been focusing on fractions! We have been working really hard converting improper fractions into mixed numbers and can’t wait to use these skills to solve problems next term.

 

The Lontown Chronicle

We have become hard working journalists for The Lontown Chronicle, writing a newspaper report for the local residents of Lontown following the sudden appearance of an enormous sky-ship over the town. We have really considered the use of alliteration within our headlines to catch the reader’s attention. We have used a range of fronted adverbials to give the reader detail about where and when this sky-ship was spotted. What a fabulous way to recreate scenes within our class book, Brightstorm.

 

Super Solar System

We have thoroughly enjoyed learning all about the wonders of the Solar System this term. We have loved researching and exploring life on different planets, and comparing the different length of days between Earth. We can’t wait to continue our scientific research next term.
