Rollicking Rock Experiments
Class 7 have been superhero scientists exploring rocks and soil. They have been discovering where rocks come from, what they are made of and how they are made. We are so interested in rocks that we will be continuing some of our experiments into the new year.
We have just returned from a fun-filled visit to Newcastle to look at Christmas lights and Fenwick’s window. Our ARMS children made us proud and were impeccably well behaved at all times.
Fundraising has featured highly in the whole ARMS provision. We have made delicious vegetarian vegetable soup, to sell to members of staff. We also enjoyed sampling portions ourselves and even Emily Baldrini said it was, ‘delicious’! Gerard also enjoyed a sample and said that he would try making some at home. We used ‘in season’ vegetables: leeks, carrots and potatoes, and prepared every thing ourselves, safely and hygienically, using sharp knives and peelers.
Selling Christmas crafts has also been successful. We have made a variety of bespoke, creative items using our curious camel super learning powers and used our powers of persuasion to sell them to the rest of the school. We are extremely focused in raising money for our next trip to The Centre for Life. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we are able to subsidise our trip with £100!
